Traditional, compact and heavy-duty hand anchor windlass.

Robust, open steel construction with heavily dimensioned steel axles in industrial roller bearings, large handwheel with curved spokes, forged capstan head and foot brake with powerful brake band.

The main axle of the winch can be disengaged so that the anchor can be lowered quickly and easily.

The cast steel chain wheel is suitable for a DIN 766 chain.

All parts are primed twice with rust protection and painted black with industrial paint.

For an extra charge, the winch can also be spray-galvanized for corrosion protection before painting. Liquid zinc is applied to the sandblasted steel using a spray gun. This thermal process coats the steel with a particularly durable zinc layer and ensures a smooth surface. Please ask us about it.

An aluminum ball-bearing rotary handle is available as an accessory, as is the crank wheel.

Ball bearing handle for windlass hand wheels or cranks. The handle is made of polished aluminum, the axle is made of galvanized steel. The M12 thread is 20 mm long.

Crank wheel

Heavy crank wheel with curved spokes, as found on the windlasses of many flat-bottomed ships.The crank wheel is made of untreated cast iron, undrilled and cast-grey. It must therefore be reworked according to your own requirements.We can also supply the crank wheel with a larger diameter (45 cm / 60 cm). Please ask us about this.

2-speed bronze anchor windlass WILMEX

Heavy and robust two gear anchor winch made from high-strength seawater resistant cast brass for yachts and ships of up to a length of 20 m.The driving mechanism is operated by a strong handle via a mechanical transmission system. This gear drive and all axles are made from stainless steel. In speed gear the hoisting speed is 9 m/min (6,5 double travel per metre).In power gear, the pulling force is doubled, the hoisting speed is reduced to 2,5 m/min (this amounts to 14 double travel per metre).This is achieved by switching one bolt to change the handle unit between speed gear and power gear. A traction force of 500 kg is possible.The solid telescopic handle, made from bronze tubing (diameter 40 mm, total length 0,80 m) also activates the brake nut.On the port side of the winch a strong capstan head (diameter 115 mm) is fitted, which can be used for all kinds of traction work.The powerful body is open on the aft end for maintenance and lubrication.Strong cleat on top of the housing.Weight with handle: 42 kg.
