Products from Davey

DAVEY & CO is a traditional British manufacturer of marine equipment with a history that dates back to 1885, when Arthur Christopher Davey founded the company in Leadenhall Street, London. The company soon moved to its famous address at 88, West India Dock Road, London E 14, where it successfully operated for over 100 years. Today, DAVEY & CO is based in Britain's oldest recorded town, Colchester, continuing its long-standing tradition of manufacturing and supplying high-quality ship and yacht equipment.
As one of the UK's oldest marine suppliers, DAVEY & CO has always focused on providing excellent service and quality. The company's philosophy is based on the principle of serving the maritime industry with due care and deference - a stance further reinforced by its long-standing role as a supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD).
Under the ownership of John Buckley, who also owns Harbour Marine Services, DAVEY & CO is currently busier than ever. The company is located in a large industrial building on the outskirts of Colchester, where the engineering team produces and assembles historical products using modern techniques while preserving the patterns and craftsmanship of the past. This combination of innovation and tradition ensures that DAVEY & CO's products meet current industry standards while respecting maritime heritage.
The partnership with Brookes & Adams Yacht Fittings, another historic British metalworking firm, has expanded the range of DAVEY & CO. While DAVEY & CO is known for its sand-casting process, Brookes & Adams brings in the technique of forge-stamping. This collaboration has significantly improved lead times and the ability to meet industry standards while preserving the tradition of metalworking.
