The house batteries are charged through an isolated output with 4-step IUoUo charging.
No further split diodes are required!
The starting battery is always charged preferentially (separated output), ensuring a safe motor start.
The A2B charger offers the following functions:
- Easy installation, even for nonprofessionals
- No changes to the generator
- IUoUo charging characteristics for house battery
- For lead-acid, gel-cell or AGM batteries
- Fully automatic adaptation of the balance charging
- Automatic battery size recognition
- Gold-plated output terminal
- Protected against surges and overheating (includes temperature sensors)
- Protected against overloads
- Parallel connection of several units is possible (boosting the capacity).
Optional remote controls are available:

STERLING alternator protection ProProtect A

The Pro Protect A from Sterling protects the alternator and is installed in the charging circuit between the alternator and the battery bank.If the charging circuit is interrupted while the alternator is running, e.g. due to unintentional actuation of the battery disconnect switch or tripping of a fuse, the alternator will not be charged. The excess energy can damage the alternator's charge controller.The alternator protection consumes the excess energy in the event of a fault. Tripping is signalled by a red LED. An external alarm or signalling device (see accessories) can be connected via a switching contact (max. load capacity 1A).

Advanced alternator regulator, waterproof (IP67).Newly developed waterproof version of STERLING advanced regulator. In contrast to standard regulators, the STERLING advanced regulator charges using the proven IUoUo characteristics: with full charging power until the full charge is achieved, then automatically switching to trickle charging. The onboard batteries are gently but fully charged. Votage drops through long cables or split charge diodes are eliminated, because the advanced regulator measures the voltage directly at the batteries. Available versions of waterproof advanced regulator: - ProReg BW (also known as AR12W) for alternators max. 350 A (with standard regulator still fitted, 150 A stand alone) - ProReg DW (also known as PDARW) for alternators max. 400 A ((with standard regulator still fitted, 200 A stand alone) The installation requires technical knowledge.The original regulator generally remains preserved and fully operational.
