WEATHERDOCK ME SENSE Boat watch set
The WEATHERDOCK ME SENSE system allows you to monitor your boat, your yacht or your camper van from a distance in real time. The ME SENSE sensors record measured values at regular intervals, which are transmitted to a central communication unit, the ME SENSE RELAY. The IoT (Internet-of-Things) standard allows devices that are independent of each other to communicate with each other via the Internet using WLAN and exchange data. From the relay, the data is uploaded to a data cloud via a secure WLAN connection. The WiFi connection to the marina's WiFi network is used for this purpose. With the ME SENSE app, the data values can be displayed and monitored in real time on the smartphone or tablet. For example, the app offers the option of defining threshold values which, when reached, generate an alarm on the smartphone / tablet. The Basic Setwith ME SENSE RELAY WiFi and the ME SENSE temperature sensor represents the basic equipment for ME SENSE boat monitoring. The temperature sensor would detect a fire on board. The ME SENSE RELAY WiFi takes on a dual role. On the one hand, it serves as a control centre to transmit the temperature data via WLAN to the cloud and ultimately to the ME SENSE app. It also serves as a battery sensor. Since it is connected to the on-board battery for power supply, it also monitors its voltage. The Basic Set can be operated with the free ME SENSE app. A subscription to the app is required for additional sensors. The Advanced Setcontains the ME SENSE sensors for bilge and door in addition to the components of the Basic Set. This means you can already monitor four parameters when you are not on board. A too high water level in the bilge would be reported as well as the opening of the companionway door. The download of the ME SENSE app is free of charge, a subscription is required for the registration of the sensors. When purchasing the Advanced Set, the use of the app is free for the first year.Your ME SENSE boat monitoring system can be supplemented with additional sensors to additionally monitor air humidity, air pressure or the shore power connection. To prevent this, the ME SENSE Humidity Sensor measures at regular intervals whether the humidity is within the desired range - if not, an alarm is sent via the ME SENSE app.ME SENSE Sensor BilgeThe exposed float detects whether there is water in the bilge. During installation, the installation height is defined so that rising water in the bilge is detected and an alarm is given above a defined height.ME SENSE Air Pressure SensorTake a look at the barometer on board from a distance. This way, rapid changes in air pressure are detected and there is still time to take the necessary measures before a possible storm.ME SENSE Sensor DoorA magnetic contact determines whether a door or sliding hatch / bulkhead is closed or open. One of the two magnets is connected to the sensor by cable. The two magnets are attached to the door to be monitored and to the door frame in such a way that they close an electric circuit at a small distance from each other when the door is closed. This circuit is interrupted when the door is opened. The changed status "open" can trigger an alarm in the app.ME SENSE Sensor Shore PowerThe ME SENSE shore power sensor is simply plugged into a 230 V socket on board and integrated into the ME SENSE app via the QR code. This makes it possible to check whether shore power is available on board or not. WEATHERDOCK easyTRX3S AIS transponder with WiFi and MeSense
The easyTRX3S is the further development of the easyTRX3 AIS Class B transponder with SOTDMA technology and 5 watt transmission power. WiFi and ME SENSE Relay for smart boat monitoring have been added to the transponder. With the standard WiFi module, all AIS data received via the NMEA network can be forwarded to a wirelessly connected end device such as a tablet or smartphone or to a chart plotter. Thanks to its Bluetooth functionality, the easyTRX3S can also serve as the heart of the ME SENSE yacht monitoring system. The data from up to 20 sensors and 10 actuators is transmitted to the relay via Bluetooth. From there, it is transmitted to the ME SENSE app via the marina's Wi-Fi network or your own LTE router. This allows the yacht itself to be monitored conveniently from home.SOTDMA technologyBased on AIS Class B SOTDMA (Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access) technology, the easyTRX3S transmits with higher (5 watts) transmission power and priority. The transmission slots for the next four transmissions are reserved automatically. Even in areas with high traffic volumes, the easyTRX3S is always able to transmit position reports, as SOTDMA has priority over regular AIS Class B devices with CSTDMA (Carrier Sense Time Division Multiple Access). The higher transmission rate improves the visibility of your own AIS position reports on AIS-capable systems.Integrated GPS antenna and active VHF antenna splitterThe integrated GPS antenna increases the independence of mounting the easyTRX3S device on board. On GRP and wooden yachts, only a power connection and a VHF connection are required. On steel yachts, the external GPS antenna available as an accessory improves reception. The integrated, active VHF antenna splitter ensures that the same antenna can be used for VHF radio and AIS. The preamplifier reduces the physical loss to a minimum.FeaturesInternationally certified AIS Class B transponderSOTDMA (time slot method) technology with 5 watts of radiated transmission powerFaster transmission intervals (depending on the speed of the vessel)Complies with the new international standard IEC62287-2CPA alarm & anchor alarmInternal memory for recording travel data (black box)Configuration of the device with USB power supply possibleInternal data memory can be read out with USB power supplyIntegrated WiFiIntegrated antenna splitterIntegrated GPS antennaConnections: NMEA2000, NMEA0183 and USBWater-, weather-, shock- and vibration-resistant, handy housingIoT ME SENSE yacht monitoringAlternatively available with additional LAN or DVB-T/FM radio moduleTechnical data1 channel VHF transmitter2-channel VHF receiver (AIS frequencies: 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz)72-channel GNSS/GPS receiverChannel sensitivity: = -112 dBmProtection class: IP67 (dust and waterproof against temporary submersion)Intended for installation below deckOperating temperature: -10°C to + 55°CNMEA output message: VDMTransmission power: 5 WOperating voltage: 9 - 32 voltsDimensions (L/W/H): 190 x 135 x 60 mmWeight: approx. 700 gScope of deliveryeasyTRX3S transpondereasyTRX3S connection cable (approx. 2 m)Connection cable easyTRX3S to VHF radiotelephone (approx. 1 m)USB connection cable (approx. 1.8 m)Quick guide (the detailed user manual can be downloaded from the internal memory)Programming software for Windows PC and Apple Mac on internal memoryWiFi antennasApprovalsApproved by BSHAIS according to IEC 62287-2:2017Environment according to IEC 60945:2002GPS according to IEC 61108-2003 and EN 301843-1:2004Product safety according to EN 60950-1 ITU-R M.1371-5
