230 volt adapter cable for taking over shore power. The 0.5 m adapter cable is IP44 splash-proof, 3-pole and can carry up to 16A. It carries a CEE plug on the input side and a NEMA L6 socket with locking ring and protective cap on the output side. The NEMA socket also features a LED power indicator. The moulded connectors are not dismountable.
NEMA connectors are a series of different types of connectors named after the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. They are mainly used in America, and in some parts of Asia. The number of contacts and the pin assignment are primarily designed for the single-phase three-wire network that is common in these regions. Individual plugs of the standard are available in a version with a rotatable locking device housed in the socket, which is identified by the letter L. The purpose of the locking device is to prevent the plug from being pulled or from accidentally slipping out of the socket.
