Navigation lights
Marine navigation lighting is regulated by law. A vessel must use navigation lights at night and in low visibility. Depending on vessel status, vessel type and ship length, it is clearly defined what kind of all-round lights or sidelights must be displayed. Not so long ago, kerosene lamps or gas lights with kerosene burners were used for navigation lighting.
