Traditional, compact and heavy-duty single-drop sideboard sword windlass.

Robust, open steel construction with heavily dimensioned steel axles in industrial roller bearings, large handwheel with curved spokes, forged capstan head and foot brake with powerful brake band.

The main axle of the winch with the wire drum can be disengaged so that the sword can be easily and quickly lowered.

All parts are primed twice with rust protection and painted black with industrial paint.

Crank wheel

Heavy crank wheel with curved spokes, as found on the windlasses of many flat-bottomed ships.The crank wheel is made of untreated cast iron, undrilled and cast-grey.
