The wind-driven Flettner TCX-2 rotary ventilator draws the stagnant air out of the interior and thus ensures a permanent air exchange and fresh room air. It is suitable for the ventilation of ships and boats and for all types of vehicles, as well as for the permanent ventilation of houses, tiny houses, cabins and containers. The principle of the fan is based on an invention by the German aeronautical engineer Anton Flettner from the 1920s. The manufacturer has redeveloped and optimized the TCX-2 fan. With the help of computer-aided flow models, a high performance fan with many advantages for a wide range of applications has been created:
- Aerodynamic fan head and base made of white, highly UV-resistant PP plastic
- Shaft and encapsulated bearing made of stainless steel, durable, maintenance-free, very quiet running
- Venting capacity approx. 60 cubic meters of air/h at 32 km/h wind speed
- Simple installation (see also installation videos)
Supplied complete with lockable ventilation rosette.
For installation on the deck superstructure, wheelhouse roof or vehicle roof, designed for a maximum deck thickness of 10 mm. A circular cut-out with a diameter of 100 mm is required for installation, the inner part and the fan are screwed together with a screw.
A pre-glued neoprene rubber seal ensures tightness.
For decks and roofs with inner cladding, insulation or double walls, an individually shortenable extension adapter (25 mm to 150 mm) is available, which covers the opening in the inner cladding. A circular cut-out of 186 mm (centered with the deck cut-out) is required in the cladding. The adapter, shortened to the thickness of the inner lining, is inserted from the inside and simply clicked into the counter ring on the inside of the deck. Finally, the ventilation rosette is clicked into the adapter on the outside of the cladding.
