This classic bronze standard winch can be used as a snubbing winch, a halyard winch or a trim-line winch, as well as a sheet winch.Produced by the manufacturers of the old BARLOW / BARIENT winches, which are out of business since decades.One- and two-gear winches available, both with standard 11/16" eight-point winch handle socket.The winches are made entirely from high-tensile, seawater-resistant bronze, only the handle socket and the finely engraved cover plate are made of stainless steel.HUTTON - ARCO (GIBB - ARCO) - quality winches, finished in Australia on CNC-directed machines, with decades of experience in winch building. Rust-free roller bearings in nylon frames. ARCO-HUTTON winches are notable for their thin form, light weight and easy, quiet movement. The textured drum allows for higher grip, even with slippery lines. The self tailer on this winch works through a patented, spring-loaded grip, which allows sheets of varying diameters.
