The filmmaker Tom Nitsch provides a kind of "logbook" full of moments, sequences and encounters from his films from "LA NIOULARGUE" to "TRACKS OF BORKUMRIFF IV".

The result is a contemporary document of the period from the renaissance of classic yachts to the construction of the first superyachts at the end of the 20th century. Nitsch's photos and stills taken from his films visually express the beauty of the yachts in combination with light, wind and waves.

In terms of content, the focus is not only on the respective film but also on the associated themes and thoughts of the sailors. Of course, personal memories of these times are also included - quintessential works such as "Functional Arts" by the US American Lance Lee and "Joy & Beauty" by the Finn Esko Kilpi in reference to these cultural assets.

216 pages, numerous colour photos, 30 x 30 cm, hardcover. The texts are in English and German throughout.
