Professional compass CASSENS & PLATH TYPE/11. The heavy flat glass compass with cardanic suspension is available in two versions.
The TYPE/21 bearing/reflection compass is fitted with a brass graduated ring. The brass centre piece, onto which the bearing sight (available as an extra) is attached, is also located on the upper cover glass. This makes it possible to take bearings.
The bearing/reflection compass is suitable for use in reflection compass systems and a bearing stand.
The TYPE/21 steering compass corresponds to the bearing/reflection compass, but without the bearing ring and centre piece. The outer ring is black here.
The steering compass is used as a ceiling or table steering compass or is used in reflection attachments.
The TYPE/21 steering compass in the desk binnacle with hood is gimballed in the desk binnacle/160 (suspended in the fore-and-aft direction). The desk binnacle is approved for coastal navigation. The brass hood with insight placed on this GRP lower ring.
The 24V lighting element, which is also included in the scope of delivery, illuminates the rose chart from above.
To allow the compass to be tilted freely, the deck must be provided with a corresponding cut-out.
