Compass house made of polished sheet brass, in a traditional design with kerosene lighting on the side. The housing is painted white on the inside and coated with a clear protective lacquer on the outside.
Also very decorative, but really suitable for on-board use. With suspension option for a flat glass compass, e.g. the lifeboat compass CASSENS & PLATH TYPE/51 (Article-No. 3740-002) - see "Similar products".
The compass house is available in two versions: one-piece with a fixed cover or two-piece with a removable or rotating cover.
With the two-part compass house, the hanging options are around 18 cm apart.
With the one-piece compass housing, the pins on the gimbal ring must be around 20 cm apart in order to pass through the holes at the front and rear of the housing. If you want to mount the TYPE/51 compass from Cassens & Plath in the one-piece compass housing, you will need longer screws for fastening the gimbal ring. Please indicate in the last step of your order under "Remarks" that you would like us to include these (Article-No. 3740-111) free of charge.
The COLZA kerosene burner or the complete kerosene lighting (COLZA burner plus tank) are available as spare parts.
The optional compensation magazines (not included in the scope of delivery) are mounted in front of and to the side of the compass and are adjustable in each case. You can find them under "Accessories".
