A shadow pin for insertion into the centre piece is included.The bearing device must be ordered together with the compass if required, as it requires factory adjustment.B+C Compensations are used to correct the ship's longitudinal (B) and transverse (C) fields. This compensation is generally recommended for all magnetic compasses.The compensation device consists of two magazines, one for the B compensation (neutralises the permanent fore-and-aft field and one for the C compensation (neutralises the permanent athwartships field).
