On rusty metal it creeps deep into the rust pores and displaces air and moisture (thus the real causes for rust) from inaccessible areas. After drying (24 hours at 20°C), it is on the one hand easier to remove the leaf rust, and on the other will the saturated final rust be sealed, conserved and preserved and can be painted over with paints that are turpentine soluble (not applicable for parts, that are constantly covered by water).Additionally OWATROL oil lends itself to be the perfect additive for one component paints.
