PAINT SYSTEM G4 Extra from Vosschemie is a solvent-based, one-component polyurethane resin. It hardens by releasing solvents and cross-links by absorbing moisture from the air and the substrate. This creates a wear-resistant film with high impact resistance.

Field of application: G4 Extra is ideal as an adhesive primer for laminates with epoxy or polyester coatings. As a binder for wood flour, G4 Extra can also be used for the production of wood filler to fill chippings and wind cracks. It is also suitable as a particularly hard-wearing varnish for dark woods (e.g. mahogany). The coating has a yellowish-transparent coloration, which is intensified when exposed to UV light. VOSSCHEMIE polyurethane varnish G8 SUPER offers improved UV protection.

Not suitable for use in interior areas (e.g. cabins).

Coverage: approx. 100 ml/m² on non-absorbent and min. 200 ml/m² on absorbent substrates

EPIFANES CR Antifouling Primer is a universal underwater ship primer based on chlorinated rubber. Suitable for use on steel, aluminum, wood and polyester. It dries quickly and can be applied to many pre-treated substrates and old coatings. The chlorinated rubber contained in the primer makes it permanently elastic, allowing it to bridge the natural movement of wood, for example.Coverage: approx. 9 m²/l.Surface conditions: Fouling on old coatings must be removed. The substrate must be clean, degreased, dry, well sanded and free of dust. Wash off salt or other water-soluble contaminants with fresh water. Remove grease and oil with ammonia solution or Epifanes spray thinner for one-component-paints. Remove rust and loose coatings. Soften old tar coatings with an aggressive thinner and/or sand coarsely with P60-80.Application: Steel must be dry and completely free of rust, grease, oil, salt and dirt. Degrease with Epifanes cleaning thinner and clean cloths. Rough sand with P60. Old tar and bitumen layers should be at least seven days old and free of growth. HEMPEL CONVERSION Primer is a two-component epoxy resin-based adhesion primer. It was developed to facilitate the change from conventional antifoulings to the biocide-free thin-film antifouling HEMPASPEED TF from HEMPEL. The primer can be applied to existing antifoulings (including International VC-17m) as well as to one- and two-component primers, provided the surface is intact and stable. Attention: The primer does NOT provide corrosion protection, but merely acts as an adhesion promoter.Coverage: approx. 15 m²/literSubstrate pre-treatment: New build: Prime uncoated surfaces with a corrosion protection primer beforehand. Two-component primers based on epoxy resin (e.g. HEMPEL Light Primer) are recommended.Existing antifouling (if load-bearing and intact): Sand the surface with wet sandpaper and water. LEFANT Epoxy Primer is specially designed for underwater use and can be applied to gelcoat, plastic, steel, aluminum, sterndrives and propellers.The two-component epoxy resin-based primer is suitable for pretreatment of antifoulings such as LEFANT T-Coat, it is oil and chemical resistant and protects against moisture penetration, preventing osmosis. Thanks to the long recoat intervals, it can be easily applied and cures even at low temperatures (min. 5 °C). Available in white or black.For detailed application instructions, please refer to the product data sheet. Application on painted substrates: Old one-component coatings and primers should be removed, two-component primers in good condition can be coarsely sanded (grit 60-80). Then clean thoroughly. If necessary, level uneven areas with epoxy filler.When recoating steel hulls, the surface should be sandblasted or coarsely sanded and painted with a diluted coat of epoxy primer (20-30% diluted with Lefant Multi thinner) immediately after sanding. Then apply up to three more coats and subsequently level out any unevenness and defects with putty.
