Scupper plugs are used to temporarily seal open scuppers in order to prevent the uncontrolled outflow or ingress of liquids. They are particularly useful in situations where fluids - such as oil - need to be contained and collected during operations or in the event of leaks on board. Designed for a tight fit, scupper plugs can be quickly and securely inserted into scupper openings and easily removed when needed. In addition to their use on tankers, they are also suitable for maintenance work, emergency response, or for temporarily sealing pipes and drains.
Plugs with adjustable width, made of NBR rubber and galvanised steel.
Large wing nut for adjusting the diameter, with flow-through option thanks to unscrewable cover. Exception: The smallest plug 6330-025 has no passage.
Properties of the NBR rubber
Maximum temperature: -30°C +120°C
Resistant to:
- Mineral oil products with an aromatic content of up to 50
- Aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons and solvents
- Oil and grease-resistant foodstuffs
Not resistant to:
- Solar radiation
