Bronze reefing gear DAVEY

This traditional three-part fitting of hand-polished cast bronze allows sails to be reefed by rolling them around the boom (simple roller reefing). Intended for yachts and small cruisers (with mainsail sizes up to about 10 square meters). The complete fitting is put together from three pieces. The boom can be removed from the tetrahedral fitting. To reef, the boom is simply pulled aft off the fitting and turned.The pieces must be installed separately: 1) Boom fitting forward (tack) for the the boom's diameter D1 = 50 mm with suitable space for the tetrahedron of the gooseneck fitting. 2) Boom fitting aft (clew) with the rolling frame for the topping lift and sheet; 3) Gooseneck with tetrahedral fitting, sized for various mast diameters: D2 = 50 to 87 mm.

The HIGHFIELD lever is a reliable bronze backstay turnbuckle.An absolutely classic fitting, built the same way for the past 100 years. Not only robust hand quality by the British manufacturer DAVEY & Co., but also a piece of art on any deck.The whole fitting is made by hand from bronze, sand-cast and extensively hand-polished and hand mounted.The backstay wire must be pressed or spliced onto the bronze thimble. With the clamping lever, the wire can then be brought down tight to the deck.In the tensioned position, the wire sits below the pivot of the turnbuckle. Thus the locking device is automatically secured. The optional two-piece release fitting (must be ordered separately, available for size 1) allows the (loose) backstay wire to be hooked directly to the turnbuckle.

Bowsprit traveller for hauling out the jib sail on the jib boom or bowsprit. Hergestellt in Enghland. Heavy-duty A4 stainless steel fitting with solidly constructed, drilled plates. Well suited for attaching a headsail furling system. Bolting the furling gear into plates reduces the tendency for the furling line to snarl up. The ring is neatly stitched with rigging leather.
