The blade is made of hardened special steel, available in cast steel (carbon) or in stainless steel. Cast steel blades can rust a bit, but stay sharp much longer than stainless steel knives.

The wooden handle is made of local smoked oak and riveted to the blade. A hole for a lanyard is provided in the knife handle.

Included is a belt sheath made of solid leather with side stitching and an additional sewn-in leather strip into which the sharp blade can slide without damaging the sheath.
