GME HRU Replacement Kit.

The kit was specially developed for replacement in EPIRBs from the Australian manufacturer GME. It consists of the hydrostatic water pressure release (HRU) from Hammar (H20E), the standard safety bolt (this must be replaced every time the release is replaced!), seals, screws and a safety clip with cord.

The replacement kit is suitable for all GME EPIRB models.

Before installation, the HRU must be marked with the corresponding approval period of two years (from installation).

If the ship sinks, a spring-loaded blade in the HRU cuts through the safety bolt at a water depth of 1.5 - 4 metres, allowing the EPIRB to float freely.
