Rigging Work
Whether splicing, seizing, and serving, traditional rigging work is our specialty, as well as binding deadeyes and ratlines into the shrouds.
Our rigger can also assemble complete rigs and assist you with the restoration and reconstruction of traditional sailing vessels. We create eye splices and thimble splices for...
- laid ropes
- braided ropes (core-sheath rope)
- Squareline rope (8-strand)
- PES/Dyneema braided rope (core-to-core splice)
- DYNEEMA hollow braid (Brummel lock).
We Require the Following Information:
- Item number of the rope
- Type of splice: eye or thimble
- Length of the rope: from pressure point to pressure point
- Length of the stretched eye
- Purpose of use: for example, a halyard, a sheet, a mooring line, or a dog leash
- End finish of the rope if it is not an eye: for example, a pressed end, a whipping, or a clean cut.
